KEC has an active Industry-Institute Partnership (IIP) Cell to interact with industries.Received Sustainable Institute Industry Partnership Award consecutively for two years (2014 & 2015) from the Institution in Society for Educational and Entrepreneurship Development, Chennai. It has got NBA accreditation for most of the UG programmes and is an ISO certified institution. It has also got the Best Engineering College award and the Best Principal Award from ISTE. It has established a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and won the National Award presented by the President of India on Technology Day in New Delhi. It’s Entrepreneurship Management Development Cell (EMDC) won Best E-Cell, Entrepreneurship Eco System Builder Award 2015 from Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at New Delhi, India. Kongu Engineering College has been awarded as the Most Clean Campus for the Year 2017 by AICTE.

IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a professional association with its corporate office in New York City and its operations center in Piscataway, New Jersey. It was formed in 1963 from the amalgamation of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Radio Engineers. Today, it is the world's largest association of technical professionals with more than 400,000 members in chapters around the world

 

 

WIE

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests to a career in engineering.The mission of IEEE WIE is to facilitate the global recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines. IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.

RAS

The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS) is a professional society of the IEEE that supports the development and the exchange of scientific knowledge in the fields of robotics and automation, including applied and theoretical issues. The initial IEEE Robotics and Automation (R&A) entity, the Robotics and Automation Council, was founded in 1984 by a number of IEEE Societies including Aerospace and Electronic Systems, Circuits and Systems, Components, Hybrids, and Manufacturing Technology, Computers, Control Systems, Industrial Electronics, Industry Applications, and Systems, Man and Cybernetics. In 1987 the council became the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.

PES

The IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), formerly the IEEE Power Engineering Society, is the oldest society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) focused on the scientific and engineering knowledge about electric power and energy. On 14 January 2016, the IEEE PES Governing Board approved the PES Technical Committee reorganization. This resulted in twenty coordinating and technical committees as follows:

  • Intelligent Grid and Emerging Technologies Coordinating Committee
  • Marine Systems Coordinating Committee
  • Wind and Solar Power Coordinating Committee

CS

IEEE Computer Society (sometimes abbreviated Computer Society or CS) is a professional society of IEEE. Its purpose and scope is "to advance the theory, practice, and application of computer and information processing science and technology" and the "professional standing of its members.The CS is the largest of 39 technical societies organized under the IEEE Technical Activities Board. The IEEE Computer Society is also a member organization of the Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations (a worldwide association of professional organizations which have come together to provide a forum to standardize, professionalize, and otherwise advance the discipline of Enterprise Architecture).

AP-S

The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) is a society of the IEEE. The society’s field of interest is defined on its homepage as “antennas, including analysis, design, development, measurement, and testing; radiation, radio propagation, and the interaction of electromagnetic waves with discrete and continuous media; and applications and systems pertinent to antennas, propagation, and sensing, such as applied optics, millimeter- and sub-millimeter-wave techniques, antenna signal processing and control, radio astronomy, and propagation and radiation aspects of terrestrial and space-based communication, including wireless, mobile, satellite, and telecommunications".
