The NS-3 software infrastructure encourages the development of simulation models that are sufficiently realistic to allow ns-3 to be used as a real-time network emulator, interconnected with the real world, and that allows many existing real-world protocol implementations to be reused within NS-3. The ns-3 simulation core supports research on both IP and non-IP based networks. However, the large majority of its users focuses on wireless/IP simulations which involve models for Wi-Fi, LTE, or other wireless systems for layers 1 and 2. Other popular research topics include TCP performance and mobile ad hoc routing protocol performance.

This course teaches programming software called matlab which would be very useful for all discipline of engineers.  The problems may be relatively complex, while the MATLAB programs that solve them are relatively simple: relative, that is, to the equivalent program written in a general-purpose language, such as C++ or Java.Hands on training will be given to write program and to work on simulink. Students who attend this course will become familiar with general concepts of programming, simulation and obtain a solid foundation in the use of MATLAB
